Call it "Emotional Intelligence" or just learning more about yourself and team members. This management tool seems to "stick" for the long-term as it gives a unique assessment of personality, insights into how people think, what type of work they prefer, how they learn new things, how they solve problems, how they deal with others, and how they cope under stress.  For example, it may help you to talk and work successfully with people who need lots of options, who work best alone, who like to discuss every angle at length, who need to act immediately, who can't commit, who need to look at past experience, who need details, who look for consensus, or who always think “what if. . .” This may help you learn why you react the way you do, how to get yourself "unstuck", whose skills will complement yours, how to approach someone about a difficult subject, and, best of all, learn how to make your style work for you when dealing with another personality!

Each participant takes a simple, 15-minute, self-administered online questionnaire. The analysis of this data results in a customized report and CD rom which describes three levels of personality (what you're born with, how you think you ought to be/be managed, and how you like to work) and then represents them with four colors that provide a language to describe yourself and learn about others in terms of abilities and interests in "acting", "adapting", "analyzing", and "assessing". The goal is to promote self-awareness, improve communication with colleagues and customers, and become familiar with a language that may become part of the work culture.  This is not a traditional personality "test", nor does it indicate whether someone should or shouldn't be working in a certain job. It transcends gender, race, and age, ultimately giving us concrete information to know ourselves better.  No minimum—the program can be done for individuals or groups of any size.  A group facilitation that pulls together the dynamics of all participants may also be conducted.  This program is informal, active and uses humor to improve interaction among team members. Great for new leaders and their teams, as well as for groups merging or who need to work better together. A professional trainer will facilitate up to 20 people.
